When Kickstarter Projects Under-Perform

Why Projects Underperform with Trevor Stamper

Welcome RPG Ramblings with Jeff Jones. This is a weekly show exploring the various details of the TableTop RPG hobby through discussions with interesting people.

Today Trevor Stamper, of The Smoking Warm fame, joins me to discuss why projects underperform. We take my recent Kickstarter, Fane of the Fly God, as an example and discuss my missteps. While not a failure, Fane was a passion project that was on the positive side of breaking even. Like a wise man conveyed to me, “Do you know which mistakes are the best ones to learn from? Someone else’s.”

Thanks to the all the supporters of this podcast. Your generous donations keep me from having to sell out to corporate sponsors, like Nike, Johnson and Johnson and Microsoft? I don’t need millions of dollars every month… I just need a buck or two from the hearts of my listeners. Patreon is the bridge of love.

Time to sit in the confession seat and spill my guts. Sisters and Brothers…it is time to get rambling.
