Five Ways to Play The Dragon. In the game of Dungeons & Dragons, the name dragon suggests prominence. The headline is well-deserved when one plays the dragon correctly and dealing with a dragon should be a campaign highlight.

Dung and Dragons. We have all heard the tales of mighty dragons laying low armies and razing cities to the ground with breath weapon and spell. The stories even tell of toppling governments or even controlling civilizations thought devious machinations. Some are even credited with the creation of whole worlds. But what do they eat? And what happens to it after it’s been eaten?

Dragon Children of the Penitent Litch. Betrayed by her husband, Queen Vacasiea turned to divine magics to exact her revenge, summoning forth four dragons—her children—to do her bidding. In her wrath, she brought down her husband and took her revenge. But the powers she tried to control were too puissant for her. She could not restrain them, nor prevent them from unleashing death upon her herself and her people. In a desperate attempt to right the wrong her arrogant vengeance was bringing upon her people, she used the last of her power to restore life to them, but at the same time could not prevent death from taking them. Her people became the living dead, and her dragons—transforming into undead parodies of their once sublime power and beauty—fled to the far corners of the world, torn by unspeakable horror as they were consumed by Vacasiea’s necromancy.
